Shrewd shrewing Jerry. It will be grand fun to watch you explore words.

Since I expect the same of you and understand your sense of play:
browse on is a curious use instead of browse.
cornflowers and brown-eyed susan? Yes we speak of both, with the s or not to indicate the plural...

I plan to enjoy more as time goes on.

Now to explore login or sign up... not yet, but soon. Jody Clark

David is not going to believe it when I tell him you had a pet vole. I think I've only seen one once, though I know they are all around us, Michigan's most common mammal. Mike is a perfect name, too.

Pam -- Tell David I do like the name of the vole. It's not as fun to pronounce as shrew, of course, but I like that it is so distinctive from "mouse," with which it is so often confused, despite being very different in appearance and habits. Also, when my kids were young we made a pet of a vole that wandered into the house one winter day and was quite content to live in our hamster cage on a diet of sunflower seeds and peanut butter. My son Nick, who was five at the time, named it "Mike" in honor of its genus, Microtus. It was a lovely, sweet-tempered little guy, but when it died (after just a few weeks) Nick was devastated.
